New dashbords!

Here’s the latest product news from Project.BI, available from May 27th – containing two new dashboards added.

True write-up / write-off

Powerful new dashboard showing true write-up / write-off. Looking at billable, client jobs only.

In other words: How well do we execute projects within agreed budgets?

Numbers are presented by all relevant dimensions, moving down to client, and all the way down to job level.

Personal zoom

A copy of the existing “Employee zoom” dashboard, but where user can only see him or herself. This dashboard can hence provide a perfect overview to “time entry users”, who can be granted access to Project.BI at no extra cost.

Check it out! And as always, make sure to add the new dashboards to access roles, if relevant.

“These dashboards are addictive”

Don’t just take our word for it – take it from our clients!

Comprend + Project.BI

Comprend, a digital corporate communications agency with offices in Stockholm and London, are taking full advantage of Project.BI’s solution.

Staffan Lindgren, CEO @ Comprend, states:

“The pre-defined dashboards and data visualization graphs are spot on for helping us not only understand the data, but also explain and drive our agency in a much better way.”

Project.BI is used by the management team, finance and client leads to gain insight in everything from employee productivity to client performance and even group reporting – Staffan adds:

“In a creative, tech and communication agency numbers and administration is always second priority. Project.BI makes all our many data available and visible in a practical way. We use them every day to drive our business forward.”

Classic reports

Another roadmap item nailed with the ability to produce classical “PDF” reports and present them embedded in the system.

First report added to the system is the new, high standard for what a “monthly report” should contain.

Collating all important metrics in the areas of Staff, Clients, and Finance. The report comes in two versions – one comparing to last year and one comparing to targets.

Enjoy!

Project.BI introduces AI

With the latest release of Project.BI you can now predict future revenue, client rate and other key metrics related to your clients.

AI and machine learning is already a big part of everyday life – helping us with boring tasks such as vacuuming and it makes our digital experience intelligent and customized to you specifically.

Project.BI’s AI uses machine learning, which enables you to make the right decisions in due time. Driven by the previous development of big data and complex algorithms – predicting how your data and hence business will evolve in the future.

With the release of Client predictions, we take the first step into an interesting world that will help our clients reduce their forecasting work and provide a valuable outlook.

AI & Machine learning

You can learn from the past, but not change it – you can however impact the future. But is Project.BI really a crystal ball that predicts the future? Of course not – as much as we would like it to, no one or nothing can predict the future. But the predictions powered by machine learning, gives you an indication of where your business is moving… And could be used for planning future initiatives, always ensuring you are one step ahead. Here’s a couple of scenarios where the predictions will come in handy.

Will Net revenue expectedly increase or decline over the next 12 months?

Do we need to hire or fire staff to match the predicted development?

When is the right time to invest – how will our cash balance develop?

From us all at Project.BI, we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

New features!

Here’s the latest product news from Project.BI, available from November 12th.

New framework for Net revenue forecast

Throughout the system, Project.BI now operates with a solid, standardized framework for presenting forecasting of Net revenue. The framework consists of these fixed building blocks:

+ Actual revenue

+ Confirmed backlog

+ Pipeline

= Total Net revenue forecast

Following this new framework, the ever important “Net revenue” dashboard has been re-designed to optimally illustrate the progress towards obtaining Net revenue budget for the entire fiscal year. Including of course still very valuable drill down to Account manager and Client level. The main widget on the Net revenue is an effective way of displaying accumulated revenue against yearly budget target:

With the new design, “Net revenue by AM” is no longer needed as a separate dashboard and has hence been removed.

It is to a wide extent possible to control how WorkBook data are counted in the categories “Confirmed backlog” and “Pipeline” via these settings:

“PM overview” has been re-engineered and re-named to “Job status”

Jobs with potential overrun and billing issues needed some more love and attention. This has led to two new widgets focusing on just this and dominating the dashboard. In a supplemental grid, it is easy to look up details on the single job. Furthermore, a grid dedicated to pointing out task issues will very soon be added.

“Planned client billable time – next 3 months”

On “Time distribution” dashboard, a new widget has been added: “Planned client billable time – next 3 months” (including current month). The layout is fixed to display departments on level 1 – with drill down to staff members on level 2. Data are based on resource bookings on client, billable jobs (as well as time entries in current month).

Logo upload

Upload your company logo here:

Which will then display on the “Home” screen:

Important note: To be able to upload a logo, you need to have a role that allows for “customizing the application”:

Project.BI now supports consolidation of multiple companies and currencies!

Another important framework piece is now in place: 3 new dashboards dedicated to deliver consolidated reporting of multiple companies! Providing an easy read on total group performance and how individual companies contribute hereto – in the well-known areas of Staff-Clients-Finance.

A supporting feature is the ability to dedicate a fixed color to every company – making them easily recognizable in the dashboards at all times.

“Company groups” can be setup flexibly and with no limitations. One group is very likely “All companies”, while another group could be “Nordic”, “North America”, or similar. Simply choose the group in scope, when looking at the dashboards.

Currencies

To facilitate consolidated reporting, you can now also activate one or two currencies, that can be used for cross company reporting. So-called “shared currencies”.

Shared currencies can also be used on the dashboards showing single companies – as a supplement to showing in base currency.

Access

Once you’ve completed the configuration, make sure to give relevant users access to the dashboards.
